RE: Records request, missing children / parental abduction incident, approx. 1989 to 1991

Dear Records Custodian,

I am requesting copies of any incident reports, missing person reports, or related records held by your office concerning an incident in which two children were taken by their mother, sometime between 1989 and 1991. I am one of those two children, now an adult, requesting records about myself.

Names involved:

- Children: Alex Salinsky (born December 9, 1984) and Tristin Salinsky (born April 10, 1988)
- Mother: Julie Salinsky, who also used the first name Alexandra or Alexandria, maiden name Wilson
- Father (custodial parent, likely the reporting party): Roy Salinsky

The family resided in Middlesex County, Virginia (Urbanna area) during this period. The matter was resolved, with custody of both children going to the father, so I expect any file to be closed.

I request:

1. Any incident or offense report, missing person report, or CAD/dispatch record referencing the above names between January 1988 and December 1992.
2. Any supplemental or closing reports associated with those records.

As the subject of these records, I make this request under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (Va. Code 2.2-3700 et seq.) and, to the extent applicable, Va. Code 15.2-1722.1 regarding release of law enforcement records. If your office requires proof of identity, please advise what documentation you need and I will provide it. I am willing to pay reasonable duplication fees; please contact me with an estimate before processing if fees will exceed $50.
